This paste helps to extend the life of the soldering tip. Clean the tip with a sponge, wire cleaner, or soft brass brush, then dip into the solder renewal paste and apply new solder. The operation can be repeated several times. If the tip is not perfectly wetted by the solder even after several repetitions, use a counter-rotating brass brush, e.g. QUICK 310, to clean the tip and then coat the tip again in paste and apply new solder.
