The SIB4 series programmable bar ionizers offer various digital control systems and remote control. The SIB4 rods do not have the Auto Ion Volume feature, an automatically controlled ion balance, as the more expensive SIB4-A series. If the balance of positive and negative ions becomes out of balance, the operator must adjust the ion balance manually. The SIB4 rods are suitable for CLEANROOM applications. The emitters are built inside the nozzle, so there is not as much dirt adhering to them, thus ensuring optimum ion generation. An advantage is the possibility to connect the rods to a central monitoring system (RMSU), which allows on-line control of ionization and generation of feedback reports.
