The 4MILL300ATC combines all the functions of the 4MILL300 with the convenience of automatic tool change for up to 12 tools using a pneumatic clamp that can also be operated manually. The milling machine is designed for the production of prototypes and small batches of single and double-sided PCBs and, thanks to the automatic tool change, does not require the operator's attention during milling like a manual tool changer. The milling machine is delivered fully set up, ready to use, the user only needs to assign the tools to the individual positions in the tool changer according to the project requirement.
Some companies may find it difficult to justify the purchase of a PCB milling machine because it does not offer enough applications to allow a reasonable return on the relatively high purchase cost. The 4MILL300ATC is designed to meet the needs of these users. The advantage is a lower price than competing pro PCB milling machines.
However, in the vast majority of applications, the 4MILL300ATC is used for prototyping or small batch PCB production. The milling machine is capable of milling isolation paths on PCBs with high precision with basic tools. You can easily achieve milled insulation tracks with a width of 0.1mm and drill holes with a diameter of 0.2mm.
The production of custom PCBs has its advantages. Once the design is complete, the board can be ready for processing in minutes, a few hours at most. The 4MILL300ATC CNC milling machine significantly reduces PCB production time.

Production of double-sided PCBs
The 4MILL300ATC milling machine is equipped with an aluminium work table in the base, which has one T-slot in the middle. In the T-slot there are stones fitted with pins, which serve both to securely clamp the milling insert and to guarantee precise mirroring after turning the material during the production of double-sided inserts. Precise depth adjustment is important for engraving fine motifs as well as for milling PCBs. For perfect results, it must be possible to adjust the milling depth in the micrometer range. The 4MILL300ATC has a unique milling head with micrometer adjustment. This milling head also has an integrated dust extraction chamber.
60,000 rpm, high-precision spindle
For precise, burr-free edging of the milled path or for milling very fine objects, a machine with a precise spindle and high speed is essential. The change of milling tools is automatic thanks to a pneumatic clamp. This requires 0.6MPa air pressure to change tools. The pressurized air is also used to cool the spindle. For cooling the spindle, an air flow of 50l/min is required.
Best software on the market
All Mipec milling machines are supplied with their own TrackMaker software, which is used for controlling the milling machine, importing and editing data from the design software and for project preparation. Data preparation for PCB milling is very easy thanks to the intuitive user interface. No previous experience in programming or operating CNC machines is required. With TrackMaker you can import and edit your gerber data. TrackMaker will then suggest the milling method itself, including the design of the milling and drilling tools. You can also change the toolpaths and the tools themselves as required.
