The 4MILL300 is a compact milling machine designed primarily for prototype production of printed circuit boards. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it fits easily into a free corner of the workbench. The milling machine is delivered completely set up and ready for milling. Simply unpack the milling machine, connect it to a PC and power supply, install the software and start working. All 4MILL milling machines enable the production of prototypes and small batches of single and double sided PCBs with high speed and accuracy, providing an alternative to chemical PCB production in schools, universities etc.
In some companies it may be difficult to justify the purchase of a PCB milling machine because it does not offer enough applications to allow a reasonable return on the relatively high purchase cost. The 4MILL300 is designed to meet the needs of these users. The advantage is a lower price than competing pro PCB milling machines.
In the vast majority of applications, however, the 4MILL300 is used for prototyping or small batch PCB production. The milling machine is shopna with basic tools to mill insulation paths on PCBs with high precision. You can easily achieve milled insulation tracks with a width of 0.1mm and drill holes with a diameter of 0.2mm.
The production of custom PCBs has its advantages. Once the design is complete, the board can be ready for processing in a matter of minutes, a few hours at most. The 4MILL300 CNC milling machine significantly reduces PCB production time.
Manufacturing double-sided PCBs
The 4MILL300 milling machine is basically equipped with an aluminum work table that has one T-slot in the middle. The T-slot is fitted with peg stones, which both serve to securely hold the milled PCB and guarantee precise mirroring after turning the material when manufacturing double-sided PCBs.
Milling depth adjustment with micrometer precision
Precise depth adjustment is important for milling precision PCBs. For perfect results, it must be possible to adjust the milling depth in the micrometer range. The 4MILL300 has a unique milling head with micrometer adjustment. The milling depth does not need to be set in any complicated way in the software. This milling head also has an integrated dust extraction chamber to extract dust directly from the milling tool or drill bit.
60,000 rpm, high precision spindle
For milling a groove with a pressed, unshaken edge or for milling very fine objects, a machine with a precision spindle and high speed is essential. Changing milling tools is quick and easy thanks to the locking nut. No tools are needed to change the tool in the collet!
The best software on the market
All Mipec milling machines are supplied with their own TrackMaker software for importing data from design software such as KiCad, Eagle, etc. Data preparation for PCB milling is very easy thanks to the intuitive user interface. No previous experience in programming or operating CNC machines is required. With TrackMaker you can import and edit your gerber data for milling the top side of the PCB, the bottom side of the PCB and the cutout, or Excellon data for drilling. TrackMaker will then suggest the milling method itself, including recommended tooling design for milling and drilling. TrackMaker then guides you through the milling process itself with pop-ups to alert you to change the tool with the desired diameter, prompt you to rotate the PCB, or inform you when the milling process is complete.
