Grounding of ESD floors

ESD floor grounding is a key element of protection against electrostatic discharge in static-sensitive environments such as EPA zones, manufacturing facilities and laboratories. Specialized components, including copper adhesive tape and floor grounding kits, are used to effectively discharge electrostatic charges to ground. Copper adhesive tape is applied under the ESD floor and serves as a conductive pathway that connects the various floor segments and conducts the electrostatic charge to a central grounding point. A floor grounding kit typically includes conductive elements such as grounding points, cables and accessories to easily and safely connect the floor to the building's grounding system, ensuring the permanent dissipation of electrostatic charges and the protection of sensitive equipment.
